How to Dress Well is the stage name of Tom Krell, an American singer, songwriter and producer from Boulder, Colorado. His musical work has been recognized under the brand name of alternative R&B, although he has been involved in styles such as ambient and experimental electronic music since the beginning of his career.
He started releasing music on his own through his own blog around 2009, but later began releasing on labels such as Tri Angle, Lefse Records, Weird World and, eventually, Domino later in his career.
